Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:  Are you a Frank Sinatra impersonator?
A:  No, I have been told many times that I sound similar, but I try to stay away from the
“impersonator” status because I feel that I am restricted to just Frank Sinatra songs when I sing anything from Bobby Darin to Brian Stetzer.

Q:  What does your performance entail?
A:  Dressed to kill (in a suit or tuxedo), I usually get to the event about an hour early to set up my equipment, which includes two speakers, a mixing board, and a CD player or laptop for my music. The client should provide a small table to hold my mixer and music. From there, I conduct a sound check. Afterwards, the show begins. I sing for about 45 minutes to an hour then take a short 10 to 15 minute break and then go back to singing. While singing I walk around the audience, capturing their attention by swooning them with my voice, charm, and charisma. Please note that if you would specifically like me to perform in a tuxedo for your event, please request so at the time of the booking.

Q:  Where are most of your performance venues?
A:   Most of my performances take place at Italian restaurants, weddings, private parties, corporate events. However, I am also open to many other venues.

Q:  Where can I find information regarding your public performances?
A:  You can e-mail me at: info@michaeljperkins.com and ask to be put on the contact list for monthly e-mails about where and when my performances take place. Additionally, you can find me on myspace.com at http://www.myspace.com/michaeljperkins. As well as the home page of www.MICHAELJPERKINS.com. My performance schedule is updated weekly.

Q:  How can I learn about pricing and booking information?
A:  Pricing information will be discussed at the time of booking. Please feel free to contact me for all of your entertainment needs at (815) 919-2153.

Q:  Do you take special requests?
A:  Yes, I try to accommodate each request I get. If you would like me to sing a special song for an event, you must contact me at least one month before the event date so I have adequate time to prepare. However, because I do not use a band, I may not be able to fulfill all requests.

Q:  Do I need to make a deposit when I book you?
A:  A deposit will be made upon receiving the entertainer’s contract. This deposit pricing depends on the total cost of performance. The remaining balance will be paid at the conclusion of the performance.
